Silver Glitter Shellac Nails

We all know nails are BIG business and everywhere you look now in most city centres you see nail bars popping up on every corner (a bit like Starbucks).

I get my nails done every 3-4 weeks in a local, small salon in my home town and it's privately owned by the most amazing nail technician I have across near where I live. Not only is she neat, chic, willing to try new looks and colours, takes care with her clients and doesn't use any electric drills, but she also provides me with an hour and a half of full laughter and girly chit-chat gossip every time.

I am due a visit in aprox two weeks with her but the last time I paid a visit it was a few days before my birthday and I wanted true birthday party nails for the occasion!

This could only mean one thing for me....GLITTER!!!

I have been getting my nails done for about 7 years now but over the last year or so, I have been getting Shellac nails ever since she introduced the concept to me and I must admit, I have never looked back.
Shellac nails are just the perfect method for girls like me on the go! They dry instantly, give the best finish and offer an array of colours and finishes too.

This time we went for full-on silver, impactful glitter! She literally dipped her brush in a silver glitter pot, sprinkled it all over like fairy dust , gave me the clear top coat and then I put both hands in what I call 'the cooker' (aka nail lamps) and waited aprox 2mins for them to dry and that was it! Nice and simple and pretty as it always should be.

*My nails even glistened beautifully in Tiffany's admiring the new collections*

Have you tried Shellac nails? Ever had full on glitter, bling nails? What is your favourite nail colour of the moment?

xoxo

  5. So eye-catching, I'd be staring at them all day!

My colour of the moment is Maybelline's Rose Poudre, great for inbetween winter and spring. I'm just trying to write a post on it now, but it's hard to describe the polish.

Shellac's also definately starting to tempt me...
